An 8,700sqm façade is planned for the lower part, which will have a reinforced concrete skeleton structure as supporting scaffolding. In order to keep the building envelope as open and transparent as possible, the steel columns of the substructure are kept very slim. Another special feature: the podium borders directly on the high-rise slab of the Pressehaus am Alexanderplatz. This panel is one of Berlin's monuments and therefore special requirements have to be met during the construction work. The challenge here is to keep the basic structure as slim as possible. Further characteristic: The podium borders directly on the high-rise disk of the today's Pressehaus at the Alexanderplatz . This slab is one of Berlin's monuments, which is why special requirements must be observed during the construction work. Planned completion is in March 2021.
