Completion of Glass Installation at Albert Einstein Learning and Research Center in São Paulo

06/11/2021 On 2nd June 2021 the installation of the glazing for the approx. 3,800sqm large steel-and-glass roof of the Albert Einstein Learning and Research Center in São Paulo, Brazil, was completed. Bringing in line the regulation of heat and solar radiation with the necessary daylight for the vegetation in the interior was especially challenging.

The 1,854 geometrically varying glass elements are provided with a printed dot pattern and a solar protection coating. On the inside, equally printed membrane panels are installed analogously. The dot pattern becomes increasingly dense from the middle of the roof towards the edges. Together with the 650sqm large clerestory façade, the tripartite, vaulted roof structure will create light room which evokes the visitors’ feeling of gathering under a leafy tree.
