glass lobby façade with crystal-like pattern for sternhöhe möhringen in stuttgart

In the southern district of Stuttgart, “Möhringen”, the so-called “House 1", was given a glass lobby façade in the course of a revitalisation.
The design by BM + P Architekten envisaged a standing glass façade extending over the ground floor and the first floor. It consists of 154 triangular insulating glass elements arranged at different angles, thus creating a crystal-like pattern. The insulating glass is mounted on a welded steel structure by means of brackets in the space between the panes. Only the silicone joint is visible from the outside.
