The success story of seele
Gerhard Seele and Siegfried Gossner founded the façade construction company seele in 1984 in Gersthofen, Germany, where the headquarters of the group is still located today. They were one of the first to combine the two trades of metal and glass construction. The growing success and the increasing demand for the competence of seele required the worldwide expansion. In 1994, in addition to locations in Great Britain, France, Hong Kong and Singapore, se-austria GmbH & Co. KG was founded in Austria. Today the seele group has 15 locations worldwide. At the beginning se-austria was located in Gmunden, since 2004 the company is located in Schörfling am Attersee in its own modern office building with an attractive outdoor area.
Whether London, Melbourne or Singapore - no distance is too far
An important market for se-austria is Great Britain and in particular London. For 25 years, se-austria has implemented more than 50 façade construction projects here. With renowned architects, designs have become real architectural icons. Large construction projects in the densely populated city of London pose a particular challenge for contractors. Extensive expertise in just-in-time production and precise logistics are key features. Among the highlights are the Canary Wharf railway station, sports facilities such as the Aquatics Centre or shopping centres and retail stores such as Westfield and the Apple Store Covent Garden. Current construction projects include the Battersea Power Station and Wimbledon Stadium.
se-austria is distinguished above all by the pleasure it takes in innovative solutions and is appreciated by its customers as a source of inspiration. The key to success lies in precise preparation with continuous, networked 3D planning and parameterization. For example, 24m high glass panes form the transparent façade of a shopping centre in Bangkok. 350km of three-dimensionally curved stainless steel pipes surround a cultural centre in the Saudi Arabian desert. The free-form formwork structure of the Chadstone shopping centre has spans of up to 44m. The building's interior is covered in stainless steel pipes. "Such project highlights are only possible because competent and committed employees actively form the future of our company and contribute their own ideas. Together we shape the superlatives of technological progress in façade construction," says Thomas Spitzer, Managing Director of se-austria.
A varied working environment
The location in Schörfling is characterised by a good mixture of committed employees, exciting projects and state-of-the-art workplaces. Since every project is unique, the tasks are very varied. On average, one year is spent working on a project, and the international environment is particularly popular. Only with first-class personnel is it possible to find the best solution for every project. The training area with its own "se-competence" training concept is a core element of know-how transfer within the company. The varied working environment and the inclusion of the latest technologies such as 3D, virtual reality and digitalisation in the construction industry make seele a particularly attractive innovative employer.
