se-austria is strongly positioned worldwide

06/27/2017 se-austria GmbH & Co. KG, a company of the seele group, has been active in Austria for more than 20 years. In Schoerfling around 120 employees realize complex steel-glass projects in roof and façade construction around the world. Among other things, they are relying on the global network of the seele group with a total of 1,000 employees.

Schoerfling, 27, June 2017: It is the deep understanding of the used materials which creates unique solutions from glass, steel, aluminium, membranes and other high-tech materials. se-austria realizes these groundbreaking building envelopes for demanding architects from all over the world: from the imposing free-form steel roof of the largest shopping centre in Australia (Chadstone), through an elaborate steel-glass design element at Abu Dhabi Airport, to the redesign of the entrance to the famous Liverpool Street Station in London – the diversity of the projects speaks for itself.

seele’s excellent competencies in the glass and steel sector always lead to extraordinary orders. In the Asian market, for example, two projects are currently being implemented: Bangkok receives the new luxury shopping centre Iconsiam, whose façade is a 24m high suspended all-glass structure. At the end of May, the installation of the glass façade, which is made in seele’s own production, started. The ambitious timetable provides for completion around year end. Another project is located on Thailand’s highest building (Mahanakhon). The roof is to be extended by an open-air viewing platform. seele realizes the 60sqm glass floor of the Sky Tray and the glass cylinder for the visitor lift at an altitude of 314m.

In Europe, especially in Great Britain, the team is working on unique projects too, whether stadiums, sports centres, railway stations or shopping centres – all are milestones of modern architecture. For the new European headquarter of the media company Bloomberg, se-austria has been appointed with three project packages. The glass roof system, which ensures a natural, targeted ventilation and lighting in the sense of sustainability, the curved glass balustrades in the underlying atmosphere and the inside façade of the multifunctional room. Another recently completed project was built at one of the most frequented subway stations in London, the Tottenham Court Road Station. The entrance to the platform was given new all-glass entrance portals, the design required an absolute precision in production due to bomb blast requirements.

In addition to the above-mentioned projects in Australia, Asia, Middle East and Europe, there are already more exciting assignments in seele’s pipeline. “At se-austria we are well equipped to implement visions of the customers to unique constructions worldwide. Without the great performance of our employees, such projects would not be possible at all” says Thomas Spitzer, Managing Director.

se-austria is a company belonging to the seele group. It is situated in Schörfling/Austria.
